Kevin Lawrence Locke aka Catch the Hawk, 52 years old, is from the Leech Lake Ojibwe Nation.
He graduated from the Leech Lake Tribal College in 2010 with an Associate of Arts degree in Indigenous Leadership.
He has four children Tara locke, Cory Locke, Corrin Locke and Jackson locke.
He is an ambassodor, drumkeeper, anishanabemowin tutor, helped with Anishinabe Adoopowin, and served as student senate teasurer, did a special address in Ashinabemowin at his graduation, and presented an Anishanabemowin Poem at AIHEC.
He was the AIM eagle staff carrier 2008 Longest Walk 2. He visited president Bush summer house with DJ Banks when Cindy Sheehan protesting the war. He participated in the Hwy 55 protest. Was part of Camp Truth in Fon Du Lac. also involved with Sacred Fire in Cass lake, MN, that went for two years.
He is heading to Santa FE American Institute of Arts Museum Studies… His goal is to become repatriation officer to get our stolen objects and bring them home.
